Hitch Hiker’s Guide in the Holy Land

Get off the bus, see nobody outside the checkpoint, having heard about millions of people out here, realise arriving here too late. Stand for a while, see the dusk in the sky, take some photos, walk to the entrance to the checkpoint, see a man walking, remember having forgotten to check the last bus to town. He says, “Oh, what’s the time? That was the last one, you’ve just missed it. This checkpoint is open 24hours for tourists, so you can go and visit the town behind the wall and back if you like.”
